Impossible worlds
My photographs are straightforward, my motives are simple, I do not apply any particular technique; some of the photos are not even technically perfect.
If you go into the forest and look at the trunks of Basajaun (Basque mythological lord of the forest), you will see my photo. I haven’t added or removed anything except to isolate the motif of the surroundings to enable the onlooker to see what I can see.
The personification of the winds was inspired by listening to Ara Malikian and his version of “Yumeji’s Theme” and “Summer” by Vivaldi. And those of imagination are purely for fun; it all began with a dragon made of dry leaves, a vulture that turned into a phoenix, and an African bunting bird that ended up being a fortune teller.
