ELISAVA’s Master in Photography and Design addresses photography as an open discipline that explores the most contemporary approaches in the framework of artistic creation that emphasizes innovation and experimentation as well as theoretical and practical research.
En Quadrat presents the work of four photographers consisting four stories, four identities and four ideas. Each project uses photography in a unique way in order to reflect the different visions as seen by these artists. Furthermore, by means of these differences we are reminded of an inescapable truth – constant change.
In spite of all the different visions existing among human beings, much of what we see forms part of a collective experience. Our bodies grow old, our surroundings change, our social structures arise and fall, and the places we call home adopt many forms.
En Quadrat invites us to reflect on the cyclical nature of the human condition as both an individual and a shared experience.
