The Festa Brava reflects the show of almost 20% of the Spanish territory that celebrates parties in which oxen, cows and calves are the central show.

The communities where these types of parties are held argue that, unlike bullfighting, here the animal does not suffer any harm or mistreatment, and even less death is caused. However, in front of an audience dedicated to enjoyment and banality, animals hit, bleed, bramble and even die suddenly.

In 2023, at least 4 people died and more than 900 were injured, but there is no record of the animals or wounded and deaths. It should be noted that many of these animals carry an implied contract of sale, which imposes their transfer and death to the slaughterhouse after the party.
