COMETH THE DAY
Far from its beginnings as social criticism, in recent times the figure of La Catrina (dapper skeleton or elegant skull) has become the most iconic image of the festival of the Day of the Dead in Mexico. In my wish to pay homage to Mexican traditions and culture – of which I am extremely proud – these photos encapsulate my interpretation of our grand dame of death, who at one time or another we might all accept or deny…cometh the day.
