I always remember these words by Maya Angelou whenever I take a picture: for me, my photos must touch the soul of those looking at them.
The magic of photography permits a subjective depiction of reality, into which one can pour the author’s feelings and emotions. That’s why in my different works I have used inner journeys and imaginary places to encapsulate a personal and private state.
Symbols and memories that I have been creating throughout my life and which remained imprinted on my unconscious now return as the subject of my pictures. Events that impressed me or once became an obsession re-emerge when I look through the camera.
