Characters from different ambits, but almost all from the world of art. My link with them has involved a chance encounter, a circumstance that I sometimes use to take portraits of people I have just met and who I invite to an off-the- cuff photo session, which leads on to new project lines.
The series being exhibited at FineArt is a selection of recent images taken in Barcelona and Paris. This photos are not designed to show off a technique, but instead I exploit the inertia of trial and error, seeking the "the ideal result", with blemishes, incomplete work, a distancing from perfection that complements my taste.
I use black and white and soft focus to escape from realism, rejecting the colour that usually surrounds my subjects in their work and wardrobe; creating a suitable atmosphere for resurrecting each element’s most intimate latent space.
