THE SIGTH WAIVES, ARQUIGRAPHICS
…Photography, as footprint, keeps an indicial link to its source material, although this does not automatically lead to a similarity between the object that was photographed with its photograph – the angle of the shot and the lighting, among other factors, determine such similarity and as such, the way it is perceived by the viewer.
Furthermore, the resemble in photography refers us to an object based on its similarity to it, regardless of whether the object really exist. “Arquigraphics” plays precisely with these concepts of representation of reality through the photographic medium by confronting the viewer with photographic images and the process that was carried out to obtain them.
