Heartbeats of blood and drugs
A large group of drug addicts marked out by civil society live in the Cañada Real.
They exist in harsh conditions without access to basic needs such as water or electricity, in which they struggle to survive on a day-to-day basis.
Like anyone else, they also have longings, feelings and dreams, and also share a common goal: they hope one day to escape from the world of drugs that has made their lives a living hell.
The images in Heartbeats of blood and drugs revolve around the underworld of drug abuse, using photography as a means to show the lives of these addicts in the most honest and human way possible, thereby freeing them from the label pinned on them by society.
