The series presented in this exhibition provides a more documentary vision of portraiture. By contextualising individuals within their environment, the work seeks to describe them according to their surroundings, affording –in a critical and also ironic tone- a description that is as detailed as possible.
With no involvement in the scene, and avoiding changes in the perspectives, natural portraits are produced to create an oeuvre with a clear and descriptive take on the different realities that can be seen in countries that include Belarus, Russia, the US, Estonia, Lithuania, and Estonia, among others, in which generational, racial, social and emotional factors are especially highlighted.
