The Cabalos do Vento project is a documentary project, motivated by a determination to discover the most ancestral traditions of Galician culture and a process of restoring dignity to them.
Taking the horse as its central, guiding figure, it takes as its starting point the festivities of A Rapa das Bestas and the desire for man and wild horses to live together, as well as following the work of the people of a small village in rural Galicia to defend and perpetuate their tradition; originating in a legend that, with the aid of historians and archaeologists, becomes increasingly real.
In this project, documentary-making takes on a physical, tangible side on the basis of the symbiosis between these people and the ecosystem of these wild beasts.
