Encuentros en una silla [Encounters in a Chair] is a selection of portraits that Fàbregas and Vidal have taken between 2004 and 2017 of people from the world of culture, with a single common nexus: their chair. This is the chair that has prompted somewhat unusual dialogues with different people over more than a hundred sessions. The portraits have been taken at their studio in Barcelona, with their medium-format Hasselblad.

The aim of these portraits is to discover the person facing their camera; gradually denuding them in search of their essence, going as far as each one will allow. It provides a broad view of people involved in culture that work around us, at the beginning of the 21 st century. Actors and actresses, of course,  but also architects and chefs, musicians, clowns and writers...
