Historically, the concept of “Mythos” has been associated with the imaginary world as opposed to the concept of “logos” or rational world. This series of portraits constitutes the symbolic representation of my own “Mythos”, archetypes that form part of the collective unconscious.
“It is not my intention to capture the soul of a person; I am content to try to photograph the sensations that a soul may convey to me. My only aim is to “embalm” this shared moment. To possess – like objects - people who appeal to me visually, stirs within me an inner vibration. To capture what moves me in order subsequently to tame the impulse, and for the act of pointing the camera to induce in me a state of calm; that state of inner silence that precedes every well-aimed shot”.
