TTAKUN
This project is a visual study, complementing a more theoretical investigation on the origin of the Txalaparta, which is a Basque musical instrument that involves drumming on planks of wood, whose origins date back into the mists of time.
On the one hand, this project seeks to visually convey that origin, which may well have been Neolithic, of wood on wood, and its development, linked to cider-making, wedding celebrations and the rural world in the Basque Country down to the present day, and on the other, it sets out to transmit the instrument’s rhythm, vibration and musicality.
