Atelophobia
Atelophobia is a creative and therapeutic project that goes beyond the bounds of photography. It reflects the inner process undergone by those suffering from eating disorders, with the aim of raising awareness of these types of mental health issues.
As Plato intended metaphorically to enlighten people and help them to achieve a realistic knowledge of the world, free from external influences such as the “Allegory of the Cave”, so I would like to shed some light on these disorders by addressing the emotional effects they cause, without euphemisms or taboos.
The idea arose from the celebration of the World Eating Disorders Action Day and was carried out in a hospital with some patients who are recovering from such disorders.
