Small things in silence
Yamamoto Masao

Trained as a painter, Yamamoto has been an independent photographer since 1975 and is regarded as one of the leading photographers in Japan.

His work constitutes a homage to nature and the poetry of small things, a reflection on the world that surrounds us and which, although at times we might look, we do not see.

Small things in silence consists of a comprehensive retrospective of the thirty years of work by this exceptional photographer. With landscapes, still life’s and portraits, Yamamoto creates small works that he later modifies with toning, paint and other techniques. The exhibition includes images belonging to all the main series produced by this photographer (Box ofKu, Nakazora, Kawa Shizuka and Bonsai).
