Waterland is a place where a group of nomadic friends from different parts of the world who have become one big family live together intermittently.
The days pass between the hard work called for by mountain life, long walks with the animals, group meals, moments of rest, silent landscapes and smoking joints. It is a place without hierarchies where everybody has the same rights and privileges, including the animals. It is an example to help understand how to live a life beyond social stereotypes and the rules of the system.
At the beginning of the photography project the members of the group were in a transitory phase of settlement. Today they have all carried on their way, travelling the world with the nomadic spirit that characterises them. Waterland is their home when they return to this place.
