What the eyes cannot see
The overriding purpose of "What the eyes cannot see" is both to expose domestic abuse and to raise awareness about it. Our attention is drawn by these photographs of the precise settings where women died at the hands of men in Spain in 2017.
In this case, the photographer, with his emotions bubbling to the surface after becoming a father, chose to use these twelve months as a clear example of the large number of domestic abuse killings that occur annually, using documentary photography to provide a temporal setting for a problem rooted in society.
