HAVANA AND BARCELONA IN CONVERSATION
I understand photography to be something that draws my attention. Telling a story through an image entraps me and makes me restless.
For me, a photograph should have balance and contain secrets, as it is unique, unrepeatable. It is like undressing life and then clothing it again with one’s eyes, in black and white. The main thing is the content.
I thirst for knowledge, and I learn from what surrounds me about the artistic processes that hone my sensitivity, from everyone I know, as they teach me something that I then convey in my photographs. It is the intellectual process that drives my photographic instinct.
