FRAGMENTOS

Fragments is a photography project made up of 18 diptychs that refer to different fragments extracted from the human body, and are related to our surroundings.

With this series of photographs, while the concept of beauty may be standardised, the aim is to show that the small, distinctive imperfections each of us has on our face or body are what make us unique, as well as the fact that
beauty can also be imperfect.

The concept of the "perfect body" has led many women to pursue the goal of meeting this imposed ideal, without bearing in mind that it is simply a social and cultural convention. Plastic surgery, cosmetics, liposuction, depilation and so on. The cult of the body is increasingly exported and globalised. Society is subjected to predetermined canons of beauty that primarily affect stereotypes of feminine perfection.
