When we speak of sensuality we are referring to something that produces a certain amount of pleasure for the senses, especially physical pleasure. This word is closely linked to sexuality, and is therefore also part of eroticism and pornography. Yet are we capable of interpreting the depiction of sensuality in a way that distances it to a greater or lesser extent from standard precepts and clichés? What is clear, however, is that physical pleasure is always present.

Therefore, if we focus on part of the body, such as a naked back, it can also be considered sensual. But are all backs sensual? My aim is to explore this concept through photography, together with the expressiveness and power of lighting. They both allow a different, closer perspective, and highlight the textures of the skin, which are often hidden from view.
