Siempre me han fascinado las tecnologías alternativas relacionadas con la imagen. Me atrae investigar las posibilidades creativas de máquinas electrónicas como fotocopiadoras, escáneres, faxes, máquinas de rayos X y otros dispositivos similares que poseen competencias fotográficas, pero que no están destinados a ser utilizados como cámaras de fotografía ordinarias. Me interesa explorar maneras no convencionales de usar estos aparatos para crear nuevas imágenes.

La serie Electro-Tejidos 1.0 examina el potencial de un escáner plano cuando es utilizado de manera no ortodoxa. Recortes de tela, flores de algodón, conos de hilos multicolor y otros objetos relacionados con la industria textil generan imágenes abstractas que evocan la actividad industrial pasada del edificio de Cal Boyer, antigua fábrica textil y actual sede del Museo de la Piel de Igualada.

Los Electro-Tejidos 1.0 también invitan a reflexionar sobre las nuevas tecnologías y cómo estas han cambiado nuestra percepción del mundo. Más concretamente, estas imágenes plantean cuestiones sobre la definición de fotografía a principios del siglo XXI y el rol del artista en la era tecnológica actual.
